Coaching

Yorkshire has a proud volleyball tradition and has a number of staff coaches, who are capable and keen to run courses.

Looking for a coaching course?

Check the Volleyball England Course Finder.

There are other resources on the coaching pages of the Volleyball England website. Volleyball England are also looking to a continuous development approach to coaching – with more modules and support.

All active coaches should register with Volleyball England for the membership benefits, including third party liabilty insurance cover, further support and member-only offers.

Refereeing

Love them or loathe them, you can’t play a competitive match without a referee. Remember to show some respect to the people who referee your matches. The leagues would not run without them.

Interested in becoming a Volleyball Referee?

See the Refereeing pages on the Volleyball England site.

Disclosure and Barring Service Checks

For more information regarding Child Protection and Volleyball, see the Volleyball England website.

In line with good practice, anyone working with children within Yorkshire Volleyball must have a Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) check, formerly known as a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.

For more information and the necessary forms, contact the Youth Development Officer or the Volleyball England national office.
